Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled New Product Development (NPD) Manager to lead the design, development, and launch of innovative automotive products. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring alignment with customer needs, industry trends, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Product Development & Innovation Lead the development of new automotive products from ideation to commercialization. Define product specifications, performance requirements, and key milestones. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Collaborate with engineering, design, and R&D teams to develop innovative solutions. Project Management Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Manage budgets, resources, and risks associated with new product initiatives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, and sales) to ensure seamless execution. Track progress, address bottlenecks, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Supplier & Manufacturing Coordination Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure product feasibility and cost optimization. Assess and select materials, components, and technologies that align with quality and sustainability goals. Support manufacturing process development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Quality & Compliance Ensure that all new products meet automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and OEM requirements. Conduct testing, validation, and quality assurance processes to guarantee performance and durability. Collaborate with regulatory teams to navigate certification and homologation requirements. Customer & Market Engagement Engage with customers, industry partners, and internal teams to gather insights and feedback. Define and refine product positioning, features, and value propositions based on market needs. Support business development teams in customer presentations and technical discussions. Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, or related field) or Business with technical experience. Experience: 5+ years of experience in automotive product development, project management, or engineering. Strong knowledge of automotive systems, materials, and manufacturing processes. Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers is a plus. Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and other automotive quality processes. Proficiency in CAD, PLM, or related product development tools is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience with electric vehicle (EV) or autonomous vehicle (AV) technologies. Knowledge of sustainability trends in the automotive industry. Agile or Lean product development experience.
