Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and proactive Level 2 Network Technician to support our networking infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Layer 2 switching technologies, basic routing protocols, and firewall management. You will play a key role in ensuring network stability, supporting escalations from Level 1, and collaborating with senior engineers on network projects. Key Responsibilities : * Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Layer 2 switching technologies including VLANs, STP, RSTP, and Trunking. * Implement and maintain basic routing using OSPF and static routes. * Support and manage firewall configurations and policies (any vendor). * Respond to escalated tickets and incidents related to network connectivity, performance, and access issues. * Perform routine network health checks and assist with upgrades or patching. * Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and change logs. * Collaborate with L1 support and senior engineers for timely issue resolution and knowledge transfer. * Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required. Required Skills & Qualifications: * 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a network support or technician role. * Strong knowledge of Ethernet switching, VLAN tagging,Spanning Tree Protocols (STP/RSTP), and802.1Q trunking. * Working experience with OSPF routing and static routing configurations. * Exposure to firewall administration (experience with any firewall platform such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.). * Familiarity with networking tools for diagnostics and monitoring. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Good communication and documentation skills. Preferred Certifications (not mandatory) : *CCNA or equivalent networking certification * Vendor-specific firewall certifications (Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA, etc.) Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate: Nadia, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) Experience: Network engineering: 1 year (Preferred) Language: English (Preferred) Location: Nadia, West Bengal (Preferred)
