Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Care of Newborns
:
Diagnose and treat conditions affecting newborns, such as infections, jaundice, breathing problems, and birth defects.

Neonatal Intensive Care
:
Manage newborns in the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
, including premature infants or those with serious health conditions.

Neonatal Emergencies
:
Provide immediate care for newborns in distress, such as performing resuscitation if the baby has difficulty breathing or has heart problems.

Monitoring and Support
:
Monitor vital signs (heart rate, oxygen levels) and provide ventilator support or other necessary treatments for critically ill babies.

Family Support and Communication
:
Discuss the baby's health status with parents and offer guidance on treatment options and next steps.

Procedures
:
Perform procedures like inserting IV lines, placing breathing tubes, or administering medications safely to newborns.

Collaborating with Other Doctors
:
Work with pediatricians, obstetricians, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care for newborns.
