Job Description

Role & responsibilities As a Naval Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and design of floating solar solutions, working within the New Product Development department. Your responsibilities will include: Conceptual Design & Analysis: Understand project requirements and generate concept designs for inverter barges, providing suggestions for improvement. Design Optimization: Review subcontractor design solutions, ensuring optimal functionality and cost-effectiveness. Technical Specifications: Write detailed specifications to receive commercial and technical offers from shipyards, benchmarking these offers against industry standards. Design Management: Lead the design of barges, including material selection, simulation, construction methodology, and CLASS requirements/approvals. Instrumentation Planning: Define instrumentation plans for pilots to validate design hypotheses related to barge accelerations and anchoring loads due to wind and waves. Lifecycle Management: Drive projects from conception to completion, ensuring successful implementation at client sites, including the development of pilot projects. 3D Modeling & Drafting: Lead the creation of 3D models, assemblies, and drafting work to ensure precision in designs. Preferred candidate profile Educational Qualification: B. Tech / M.Tech in Naval Architecture Experience: 3-5 years in naval architecture or a related field, with experience in designing and managing complex barge or marine structures. Skills: Proficient in 3D modeling, design optimization, technical specification writing, and using simulation software. Strong knowledge of CLASS approvals, material selection, and construction methodologies for marine environments.
