Job Title: School Music Educator Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our school's faculty. The Music Teacher will be responsible for developing students appreciation and understanding of music through engaging lessons, performances, and creative activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire students to explore their musical potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that align with the school curriculum. Teach students fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and notation. Provide instruction in various musical instruments and vocal techniques. Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and musical productions. Encourage student participation in music-related extracurricular activities. Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, performances, and examinations. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary learning. Stay updated on new music teaching methods and incorporate innovative techniques into the classroom. Maintain and care for school musical instruments and equipment. Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in playing and teaching multiple musical instruments. Strong vocal and conducting skills. Experience in choral and/or instrumental ensemble direction. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Creativity and enthusiasm for music education. Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Preferred Qualifications: RQF level 1 in Music Education (e.g Trinity grade 1 and 2) Prior experience teaching music at the elementary, middle, or high school level. Familiarity with music technology and digital composition tools. Experience in organizing and directing school Events. Work Environment: Classroom setting with musical instruments and technology. Occasional evening and weekend performances and rehearsals. Collaboration with students, teachers, and parents to enhance the school’s music program.
