As a Mortgage Deals Processor, your role involves reviewing and processing lock requests and change requests for mortgage deals while ensuring compliance with internal policies and investor guidelines. You will be responsible for comparing loan attributes such as loan amount, rate, term, LTV, and property type to determine pricing impact and validate compliance with lock terms. Your key responsibilities include: - Manually accepting lock requests after a thorough review of loan details and supporting data. - Utilizing mortgage rate sheets to spot-check key data points to ensure accuracy in pricing and lock terms. - Collaborating with loan officers, underwriters, and pricing teams to resolve discrepancies and provide clarifications. - Maintaining meticulous records of lock activity, changes, and approvals for audit and regulatory requirements. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Strong numerical and mathematical reasoning skills with the ability to work accurately with mortgage pricing elements. - Prior knowledge or exposure to mortgage lending, pricing, or lock desk operations is preferred. - Ability to interpret and apply mortgage rate sheets to validate pricing decisions. - High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in loan data. - Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis and validation. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
