The Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating mortgage applications, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Analyze mortgage applications and supporting documentation to assess the creditworthiness of applicants. Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data. Assess property valuations and other relevant factors to determine loan suitability. Ensure compliance with lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (including Australian regulations). Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for loan approval or denial. Communicate effectively with Brokers. Maintain accurate and organized records of all applications and decisions Skills and Experience 1-3 years of experience as a Mortgage Analyst or in a similar role within the Australian industry. Strong understanding of mortgage lending principles, practices, and regulations in Australia. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for loan approval or denial.
