Job Description

Montessori School Principal will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the school, ensuring the implementation of Montessori philosophy and principles in daily operations, curriculum delivery, and student development. The Principal will support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students while fostering a positive and collaborative environment for staff, parents, and the community.

The position is for KIDS Montessori School, Calicut, Kerala.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educational Leadership:
  • Lead and guide the school in the delivery of a high-quality Montessori education that aligns with the principles and methodologies established by Maria Montessori.
  • Develop and maintain an academic curriculum that promotes self-directed learning, individualized instruction, and child-centered education.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and performance, ensuring that all students receive the appropriate support for their development.
  • Staff Management:
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Montessori educators and staff.
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff, ensuring that they remain informed about Montessori best practices and educational advancements.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive school culture among faculty and staff.
  • School Operations:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including scheduling, resource management, and maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Ensure that the school complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety requirements.
  • Manage school budget, resources, and facilities in collaboration with the administration or school board.
  • Student Support:
  • Provide leadership in creating a nurturing environment that supports the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of all students.
  • Work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure that students' needs are met and that the home-school partnership is strong.
  • Address any student behavioral or academic challenges, utilizing the Montessori approach to discipline and conflict resolution.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with parents, school board members, and the wider community to foster a sense of involvement and investment in the school’s mission and vision.
  • Represent the school at local, regional, and national Montessori events, conferences, and workshops.
  • Promote the school’s values and programs, helping to build a positive school reputation.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with the school board and other stakeholders to develop short-term and long-term strategic goals for the school’s growth and development.
  • Analyze data and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of educational practices and make necessary adjustments.
  • Lead initiatives to innovate and continuously improve the educational experience at the school.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (preferred).
  • Montessori Certification (preferably from an accredited institution) at the appropriate level (Primary, Elementary, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
