Modelling & Data Science Director

Role Overview: As an AI/ML Engineering Manager at Merkle, your primary responsibility will be to develop top-notch strategies and oversee all Insights and Analysis activities for assigned clients. You will also be leading and mentoring a team of AI engineers, ML engineers, and data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of 5-10 AI engineers, ML engineers, and data scientists, conducting performance reviews, providing mentorship, and supporting career development. - Design and develop AI models and algorithms from scratch, integrating AI solutions with existing business systems to enhance functionality and user interaction. - Plan, execute, and deliver AI projects from conception to production deployment, coordinating cross-functional initiatives with product, engineering, and business teams. - Develop AI engineering roadmaps aligned with business objectives, identifying opportunities to leverage AI for business value and competitive advantage. - Stay current with AI/ML trends, evaluate new technologies for adoption, and drive technical decision-making for AI platform architecture and tooling. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of AI/ML engineering experience with hands-on model development and deployment. - 3+ years of team leadership or technical management experience. - Proven track record of delivering production AI systems at scale. - Experience managing the complete ML lifecycle from research to production. - Background in both individual contribution and team collaboration.
