Mobile Repair Technician

Job Summary: The Mobile Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing mobile phones. The role includes handling hardware and software issues, customer diagnosis, spare management, and ensuring quality repair within given timelines. Key Responsibilities: 1. Diagnosis & Repair Diagnose mobile device issues (hardware & software). Repair faults related to display, battery, charging, camera, mic, speaker, motherboard, etc. Replace and fit spare parts properly. Perform soldering, micro-soldering (if required). Flashing, software updating, and data backup (as per guidelines). 2. Quality Check (QC) Ensure repaired devices pass all QC parameters. Maintain zero repeat complaints. 3. Documentation & Reporting Maintain repair logs, job sheets, and inventory records. Update repair status in system/ERP. Ensure correct tagging and safe handling of devices. 4. Customer Handling Explain issue and cost estimation to customers (if front desk). Provide clear communication regarding repair time & warranty. 5. Spare Parts Handling Handle tools & spare parts carefully. Track spare usage and report shortages. Avoid wastage and ensure genuine parts are used. 6. Safety & Compliance Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety. Use proper tools, PPE, and maintain a clean workstation. Follow company SOPs, data privacy and safety rules. Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills Knowledge of mobile hardware & software. Experience in chip-level or basic-level repair.
