Sales Representative / Admission Counselor Job summary The Sales Representative/Admission Counselor will be responsible for driving student enrollments for our CAT preparation courses. This role involves generating leads, providing career counseling to prospective students and their parents, and converting inquiries into admissions. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities Lead generation: Proactively identify and generate new student leads through tele-calling, walk-ins, school/college visits, and other marketing initiatives. Student counseling: Engage with prospective students and their parents to understand their career aspirations and educational needs. Advise them on the appropriate CAT coaching programs. Sales and conversion: Manage the entire sales cycle, from the initial inquiry to the final admission, ensuring enrollment targets are met or exceeded. Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current students to ensure satisfaction and generate referrals. Product knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of the CAT exam, the institute's programs, fees, course materials, and facilities to effectively address queries. Reporting: Track all sales activities and student interactions using the institute's CRM software and provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market feedback. Market research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the CAT exam to help inform sales strategies. Promotional activities: Participate in and organize promotional events, seminars, and workshops to promote the institute's programs. Required qualifications and skills Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline. A degree in business or marketing is a plus. Experience: Previous experience (1-3 years) in sales, academic counseling, or the EdTech sector is preferred. Freshers with exceptional communication skills and a passion for sales may also apply. Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a regional language (like Hindi) are essential for effective counseling and presentations.
