Job Description

Job Summary The MIS professional is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support business decisions. The role involves maintaining databases, generating reports, automating processes, and ensuring data accuracy across departments. Key Responsibilities Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from various departments to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics (KPI reports). Automate repetitive reporting tasks using Excel macros, SQL queries, or BI tools. Maintain and update internal databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Support management with ad hoc data analysis for strategic decision-making. Coordinate with departments (sales, finance, operations, HR, etc.) to ensure data alignment. Prepare and present analytical insights and trends to senior management. Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in system enhancements. Maintain confidentiality of company information and ensure data security compliance. Skills & CompetenciesAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, Macros). Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Tableau (preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in data reporting. Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Educational QualificationBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Commerce, Statistics, or related field. Master’s degree (MBA, MIS, Data Analytics) preferred for senior roles. Experience RequirementsMIS Executive: 0–2 years of experience in MIS/reporting or data analysis. MIS Analyst: 2–5 years of experience with advanced reporting and automation exposure. MIS Manager: 5+ years of experience managing MIS teams and developing data-driven strategies. Typical Tools UsedMicrosoft Excel, Google Sheets SQL Server / MySQL Power BI / Tableau MS Access or other database management tools
