midsenior Middleware Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Operations

  Apply patches and configuration changes on production platforms following L3 recommendations and standard procedures.

• Incident & Request Management

  Be the Tier1 owner for highpriority incidents across all production environments; resolve issues, create detailed tickets and identify automation opportunities for L3.

• ServiceNow (SNOW) Backlog

  Manage and triage requests, ensuring timely responses and clear handoffs.

• Application & Middleware Deployment

  – Deploy releases that cannot be automated, coordinate with Release Management and ensure successful rollout.

• Security & Process Compliance

  – Follow security guidelines, change/problem/incident management processes and adhere to quality standards.

• DevOps Collaboration

  – Partner with Development Tribes, understand their pipelines, troubleshoot deployment failures and provide middleware expertise.

• Proactive Monitoring & Alerting

  – Use Dynatrace (and related tools) to set up monitoring, define alerts and drive earlyincident detection.

• Automation & Continuous Improvement

  – Identify repetitive tasks, design scripts or playbooks (Bash/Python/Ansible) to reduce manual effort and human error.

• Knowledge Sharing

  – Contribute to squad discussions, document solutions and mentor junior team members.

Required Technical Skills

• Operating Systems

  – Expertlevel Linux, moderate Windows.

• Middleware

  – Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic and Javabased application servers.

• Containers / Cloud

  – Good understanding of Docker, Tanzu, IBM Cloud, AWS (deployment via CLI/UI).

• Scripting / Automation

  – Proficient in Bash, Python; experience with An and Jenkins.

• Monitoring

  – Solid knowledge of Dynatrace, log analysis and metric interpretation.

• Additional Tools

  – Working knowledge of .NET, Apache, NGINX, SQL, ServiceNow.

• Troubleshooting

  – Ability to correlate OS logs, middleware configuration and monitoring data to resolve hybridapplication issues.
