Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Coordinate with clients, designers, and production team to understand product specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. 2. Source and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, trims, and accessories required for production. 3. Prepare and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of finished goods while adhering to quality standards and cost targets. 4.Develop costing for buyer enquiries and negotiate pricing and terms with buyer. 5. Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, work in progress, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and regulatory standards. 6. Communicate proactively with clients regarding order status, production updates, and any issues that may arise, providing solutions and alternatives as needed. 7. Collaborate with design and development teams to provide input on product feasibility, cost optimization, and manufacturing processes. 8. Monitor and manage production costs, budgets, and expenses to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness. 9. Resolve production-related issues, including quality defects, production delays, and supply chain disruptions, through effective problem-solving and communication with relevant stakeholders. 10. Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and technological advancements in Home Textile / garment manufacturing processes to drive innovation and efficiency. 11. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including orders, inventory levels, and quality control reports, using appropriate software systems and documentation protocols. Preferred candidate profile Experience minimum 3 years or more in Merchandising Ready to embrace change Good communication skills and team player High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to supervise, train and motivate juniors.
