Job Description

Product Development Merchant – Home TextilesResponsibilities: Strong knowledge of fabrics used in home textiles (cotton, linen, slub, dobby, jacquard, etc.). Understanding of product categories: cushion covers, curtains, table linen, throws, bedding, etc. Familiar with value-added techniques: embroidery, printing, quilting, washes, trims, lace, patchwork, etc. Handling product development, sampling coordination, and translating buyer requirements into final products. Preparing cost sheets, quote sheets, and coordinating pricing with internal teams. Communicating directly with buying agents and international buyers — strong written & spoken English required. Follow-up with sampling, production, QC, and sourcing teams for smooth development. Requirements: 2–5 years experience in Home Textile Merchandising / Product Development. Good understanding of fabrics, trims, and export processes. Excellent communication & email-writing skills. Proficiency in Excel and basic design understanding.
