Job Summary:

The Jewellery Merchandiser acts as a link between the design, production, and sales teams. The role involves planning, developing, and managing jewellery collections that meet market trends, client demand, and company profitability goals. The merchandiser ensures that the right product is available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right price.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Planning & Development

  • Coordinate with design teams to develop new jewellery collections based on market trends and customer insights.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify emerging trends, styles, and materials.
  • Suggest pricing strategies and product mix for different segments (gold, diamond, silver, fashion jewellery, etc.).
  • Approve designs, samples, and final products in collaboration with designers and production teams.

2. Inventory & Production Management

  • Plan inventory levels and production quantities based on sales forecasts.
  • Monitor stock movement to avoid overproduction or stockouts.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing units or vendors for timely production and delivery.
  • Ensure quality control standards are maintained for all jewellery pieces.

3. Vendor & Supplier Coordination

  • Work closely with suppliers for raw materials like gemstones, gold, and silver.
  • Negotiate costs, timelines, and quality standards with vendors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.

4. Sales & Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams for product launches, visual merchandising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Provide inputs on pricing, packaging, and display strategies to enhance sales.
  • Analyze product performance and recommend changes in assortment or pricing.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on product performance, stock levels, and sales trends.
  • Track profit margins, pricing efficiency, and seasonal demand.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve future product planning and buying decisions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of jewellery design, materials, and production process.
  • Excellent sense of fashion trends and customer preferences.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong coordination, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP tools, or merchandising software.
  • Attention to detail and quality control.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹43,000.00 per month
