Role Description

The MEP Coordinator & Quality Check Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design inputs within architectural projects and ensuring high-quality deliverables throughout the design and documentation stages. This role requires strong technical understanding of MEP systems, coordination skills, an eye for quality, and the ability to work collaboratively with architects, BIM teams, and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities

MEP Coordination

·       Coordinate all MEP services (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, LV systems) with architectural and structural teams.

·       Review MEP drawings, models, and consultant submissions for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with design intent.

·       Detect and resolve clashes through design reviews and BIM coordination meetings.

·       Facilitate coordination workshops with consultants, contractors, and the project team.

·       Ensure MEP services integrate seamlessly into architectural layouts without compromising aesthetics or functionality.

·       Maintain and update MEP coordination logs, RFI trackers, and communication records.

Quality Check (QC)

·       Conduct quality checks on drawings, models, and documentation before internal and external submissions.

·       Ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and studio quality guidelines.

·       Identify design inconsistencies, missing information, and coordination gaps.

·       Review BOQs, specifications, and design deliverables for accuracy.

·       Work with the design team to implement corrective actions and maintain quality benchmarks.

·       Support continuous improvement of studio processes and QC checklists.

Project Support

·       Assist in preparing coordination drawings, overlays, and redline markups.

·       Support BIM and CAD teams in applying best practices for documentation.

·       Participate in project review meetings, design discussions, and technical workshops.

·       Provide technical inputs to ensure design feasibility and coordination with site constraints.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or related field.

·       Proficiency in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management practices

·       Skill in conducting Quality Auditing and preparing detailed quality reports

·       Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.

·       Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.

·       Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

·       Good communication and coordination skills.

·       Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple projects.
