1 Operational Duties • To supervise & ensure that all clinical polices and procedures within the Hospital meets the requirements of licensing or accrediting bodies. • To review and respond to any Medical Review by state of local surveys, inspections and accreditation & completion of statutory, statistical and annual reports. • To represent the Hospital for all medical-legal issues if required • Daily interaction with Consultants Staff and Patients • To assist in ensuring operations within budgeted cost. • To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system. • Dealing with patient complaints. • Ensuring optimal utilization of resources and personnel. • To supervise Emergency Department, admission process and discharge process. • To keep track of admission, discharge, leave against medical advice discharge, medico legal and deaths on a daily basis. To coordinate activities of the Hospitals Infection Control and safety Programs.
2 Admin & Other Responsibilities • To design, interpret and ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures, administrative rules. • To monitor, participate and collaborate with other disciplines for successful implementation of NABH and other Quality Improvement Programs. • To comply with the clinical services quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area. • Lead and implement the clinical direction for the organization. • Keep abreast of emerging models in health care delivery; identify and define new and innovative strategies to achieve business goals and objectives. • Provide clinical guidance, support and education to the Clinical and Network Management team. • To prepare the duty roaster of Consultants and also, ensure their availability 24*7. • Assisting patients in their billing. • Guide Clinical managers to solve queries related to patients. • Supervising all the nursing activities are carried out as per standard. • Implementation of standard formats, SOP etc defined by Quality team. • Verify and improve format, forms, SOPs, checks suggested by Quality team. • Ensuring proper planning of surgeries. • Ensuring all the OT processes are carried in a way as per our Standards. • Ensure proper functioning of ICU/MICU/SICU/NICU/PICU etc • Ensuring proper care to patients in wards,ICU and OT • Tracking regularly the occupancy • Drawing reporting from OT incharges, Cathlab Incharges, Nursing superintendent etc to justify • Coordinate with departmental heads for providing better patient care.
3 Complaince of Statues • Quality Management Committee, including quality improvement and compliance • Ensure all processes are run as per compliance and policies laid down under NABH / NABL or any other applicable governing body.
