Job Description

Job Title: Medical Representative Job Summary A Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling a company's pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals. They work to increase the sales of the products, ensure that doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers are well-informed about the companys products, and develop relationships within the healthcare industry. Key Responsibilities: Product Promotion: Promote and detail pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. Organize and deliver presentations to healthcare professionals, providing detailed information about the companys products. Keep healthcare professionals updated on new product launches, clinical data, and other relevant information. Sales Targets: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the management. Plan and execute strategies to increase sales in assigned territories. Market Research and Analysis: Monitor competitor products and activities, keeping the company updated on market trends. Provide feedback to the marketing and sales teams regarding market demand and customer needs. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and medical staff. Respond to inquiries and address concerns about products. Territory Management: Manage a specific geographical area and visit healthcare professionals within that territory regularly. Organize and participate in medical conferences, workshops, or events to raise awareness about the companys products. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer interactions, and feedback. Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor activities. Product Knowledge and Training: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new pharmaceutical products, and regulatory changes. Attend training programs and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques. Qualifications and Skills: Education: A bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in medical sales or pharmaceutical sales is preferred but not required. Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals. Good understanding of pharmaceutical products and the healthcare industry. Strong negotiation and sales skills. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently. Working Conditions: Travel within the assigned territory to meet healthcare professionals.
