Medical Counselor - IVF

As an IVF Medical Doctor & Counselor at ALIV Regenerative Wellness in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in guiding couples through their fertility journey. Your responsibilities will include patient education, counseling, clinical coordination, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Explain infertility workup, AMH/AFC findings, male factor basics, and treatment options in a clear and non-judgmental manner. - Set realistic expectations on success rates, timelines, costs, and risks while obtaining informed consent. - Provide ongoing psychological support and address FAQs to help couples make informed decisions. - Conduct history, examination, and baseline investigations review; create case summaries. - Perform follicular monitoring, endometrial tracking, and coordinate OPU/ET scheduling. - Assist with IUIs and coordinate with embryology/andrology on sample timing and consents. - Build individualized treatment plans, manage cycle calendars, and ensure adherence to protocols. - Maintain EMR accuracy, ensure compliance with regulations, and participate in quality meetings. - Work closely with counselors, front desk, and finance to provide a seamless patient experience. Qualifications: - MBBS required; DGO/MS/DNB (ObGyn) preferred. - 15 years of experience in infertility/IVF/ART clinic; fresh ObGyns with strong counseling skills may be considered. - Competent in transvaginal ultrasound for follicular monitoring, cycle management, and IUI. - Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi/Marathi, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. Skills & Traits: - Evidence-based, ethical counseling with the ability to simplify medical jargon. - Calm under pressure, meticulous with documentation, and consents. - Team player with an ownership mindset, approachable and presentable. - Comfortable with EMR/CRM, Google Workspace, and basic data interpretation. KPIs (First 6 Months): - Consult-to-cycle start rate, drop-out reduction, documentation accuracy, compliance audit pass rate. - Patient satisfaction/NPS for counseling sessions. - Cycle monitoring adherence and timely closure of patient queries. 90-Day Outcomes: - Master clinic SOPs, independently run counseling and monitoring clinics. - Standardize counseling checklists, consent flow, and post-visit summaries. - Present a quality improvement idea.
