Role & responsibilities Review and Analyze: Thoroughly review and analyze coded medical records for accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Identify Errors: Identify coding errors, discrepancies, and potential quality of care issues. Provide Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to coders to improve coding accuracy and efficiency. Maintain Standards: Ensure coding practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Compliance: Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Training and Mentoring: May be involved in training and mentoring other coding staff. Documentation: Review and verify documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results. Data Analysis: Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement. Productivity: Maintain daily production and quality as per client requirements. Communication: Good communication and teamwork skills are essential. Preferred candidate profile Graduates with 3 - 8 years of experience in Medical Coding for Surgery specialty Experience in Surgery coding is required Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-9 and ICD-10.
