We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team to support the maintenance, optimization, and improvement of our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Process Improvement: Design, implement, and optimize mechanical and electrical systems used in plywood production, including machinery such as hydraulic presses, dryers, cutting equipment, and conveyor systems. Machinery Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Lead the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure production efficiency. Automation and Control Systems: Develop and improve automated systems for controlling production processes, including PLC programming and integration of control systems. Production Line Support: Work closely with production teams to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that enhance throughput and product quality. Safety Compliance: Ensure all machinery and systems comply with safety standards and regulations. Project Management: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery or production equipment. Collaboration & Training: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and R&D, to ensure seamless operations. Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Preferred: At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment , preferably with experience in industries like woodworking, furniture, automotive, or similar sectors that require large-scale machinery. Essential: Hands-on experience with industrial machinery , including hydraulic systems, conveyor belts, and automated production lines. Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming , control systems, and automated machinery. Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for mechanical system design. Familiarity with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in industrial settings. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , including material handling and production line optimization. Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly address and resolve mechanical/electrical issues. Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulatory requirements for machinery and electrical systems. Communication: Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse departments. Preferred (Not Essential): Experience in plywood or wood processing industries . Knowledge of manufacturing automation tools and software. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
