Mechanical Service Engineer

Job Summary The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and good customer-handling skills to ensure high-quality service. Key Responsibilities • Install and commission commercial kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, hobs, refrigeration units, dishwashers, and exhaust systems. • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedule. • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues effectively. • Replace and repair defective parts, ensuring proper documentation and reporting. • Attend service calls within defined turnaround time (TAT) and update the service coordinator/team lead regularly. • Prepare accurate service reports, installation reports, and warranty claims. • Coordinate with the spare parts team for timely part availability. • Educate customer staff on basic equipment operation and maintenance. • Escalate unresolved or critical issues to seniors or OEM support. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain tools and service kits in proper condition.
