Job Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Service Engineer to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our manufacturing machinery and production lines
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical systems, experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing, and a passion for ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing machinery, filling & packaging equipment, and utilities to minimize downtime
Installation & Commissioning: Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new production equipment Process Optimization: Continuously improve machine efficiency and reduce operational costs by implementing best practices Compliance & Safety: Ensure all equipment meets GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA, and industry regulations Documentation & Reporting: Maintain service logs, preventive maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting records Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the production, quality assurance, and R&D teams to support product development and ensure smooth production Vendor Coordination: Liaise with equipment suppliers and service providers for technical support and spare parts management

Qualifications & Skills

Hard Skills (Technical Expertise)

Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems
Hands-on experience with automated filling, mixing, and packaging machines in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industries Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques Understanding of GMP, ISO, and regulatory standards in manufacturing

Soft Skills (Personal Attributes)

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail with a proactive approach to machine optimization Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Education & Certifications

Diploma / Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
Certification in Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or GMP Compliance is a plus

Experience Requirements

2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance/service engineering within the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, or FMCG manufacturing sector
Experience with PLC-based systems and automated machinery is an advantage
