Job Description

As a Mechanical Installation Development Lead, your role will involve: - Defining and agreeing on inputs and technical constraints with train-level stakeholders. - Leading the mechanical design and integration activities for make parts and ensuring robust interface management for buy parts. - Driving installation deliverables, including specifications, 3D/2D design, and validation plans. - Contributing to first train mounting reviews to ensure design maturity and support production readiness. In terms of Design & Integration Leadership, you will: - Ensure that the installation design meets functional, safety, and maintainability requirements. - Coordinate with engineering, industrialization, and production teams to validate manufacturability and ease of assembly. - Oversee design progress, technical risk mitigation, and configuration management for the assigned scope. - Support design reviews, prototype validation, and problem resolution activities. Your Cross-Functional Collaboration responsibilities will include: - Acting as the primary contact for technical discussions between internal engineering teams and external suppliers. - Facilitating communication between design, production, and quality stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolution. - Promoting continuous improvement through lessons learned and feedback integration. Key Competencies & Skills: - Strong experience in sheet metal design and metallic materials. - Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes such as welding, bolting, and fastening. - Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools like CATIA V5, ENOVIA, or similar systems. - Solid understanding of mechanical integration principles and industrial installation processes. - Strong grasp of design-to-manufacture processes and mechanical validation methods. - English proficiency at an operational level for reading, writing, and technical communication. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Systems Engineering. - Minimum of 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and installation development, preferably within the railway, aerospace, or industrial sectors. - Proven experience in leading integration activities, supplier coordination, and first train/first article installation reviews.,
