Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Define mechanical solutions and components for machine centers and related applications.
  
• Interface with suppliers to develop and validate new mechanical solutions.
  
• Design and develop mechanical components and custom options based on customer requirements.
  
• Collaborate with fluidic, electrical, and controls engineering teams to finalize complete machine content.
  
• Prepare, develop, and release mechanical drawings for machine assemblies and applications.
  
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during debugging and testing phases.
  
• Support service technicians with mechanical troubleshooting at customer sites.
  
• Perform mechanical modifications for retrofit, refurbish, and customer-specific machine configurations.
  
• Conduct mechanical component tests on machine centers and applications.
  
• Work closely with technical, service, and production departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  
• Ensure tasks are executed according to priorities and directives from the Engineering Manager.
  
• Coordinate and communicate with Vigel Italy Engineering to gather technical information and clarify customer requirements.
  

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering documents.
  
• Proficiency in mechanical design software (preferably Autodesk Inventor or PTC Creo/Pro Engineer).
  
• Previous experience in machine center mechanical design and/or fixture design.
  
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  

Requirements

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  
• Willingness to travel for training at the company headquarters in Italy.
  

Preferred

• Valid visa or eligibility to obtain a visa for travel to the USA and Italy.
