Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our construction and infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing mechanical systems in large-scale infrastructure projects including buildings, roads, bridges, utilities, and industrial facilities. Key Responsibilities: Design, analyze, and implement HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems for construction projects. Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to integrate mechanical designs into infrastructure plans. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure mechanical systems are installed and functioning according to specifications. Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Manage procurement of mechanical materials and liaise with vendors/suppliers. Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases. Troubleshoot system issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner. Contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master’s degree is a plus. 3–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and execution within the construction or infrastructure sector. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software. Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
