Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our creative team. As the Design Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of duties including engineering designing, researching, and prototyping new engineering products. Responsibilities Interact with customer and understand project requirements Research & Identify design solutions to meet customer requirements & cost estimates Carry out detailed mechanical design work including 3D modelling, simulation (eg : thermal & stress) and design verification testing Use design software to develop models and drawings of new engineering products Generate Assembly drawings and bills of materials Create technical reports and documentation as required for the designed products Analyse the completed design to determine issues or risks Hold project schedules within timelines Carry out design change requests in a timely manner Maintain design files and information, update and store in accordance with departmental procedures Supervise the manufacturing process to achieve the envigised designs goals Develop test prototypes, coordinate, manufacture & test the same Coordinate with other engineers, management, and the creative department Report progress of all assigned tasks to the Engineering Manager and Project Management teams Desired Skillsets Ability to understand customer requirements ,design & produce drawings Ability to estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs Ability to co-ordinate with the other discipline engineers (electronics and optics) to produce multidisciplinary design solutions Confident, proactive, ability to take the lead in challenging situations Creative thinking with excellent problem-solving skills Good communication skills, dealing with other employees and external vendors /customers and achieve results Good IT skills with proficiency in design software Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Requirements: Bachelors degree in design engineering / Mechanical engineering / Product design. 02-05 years experience in a machine tool / Product design or relevant field Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and CATIA / Solid works or similar design software with accurate and strong attention to detail Believe in teamwork and able to work as a team.
