Take design responsibility for the Project from end to end β Understanding the process involved in the project & Planning accordingly β Create CAD Model, Assy, Detailing, Part lists for the assigned projects using Solidworks software. β Should have thorough knowledge of NPD process, Part modelling, Sheet metal, weldment, Component design. β Should have worked on Concept selection methodologies and failure identification methods (DFMEA). β Should have experience in Tolerance Stack-up Analysis and GD&T implementation. β BOM, Fair idea on costing of components β Preparing technical specifications, material selection, performing engineering calculations to verify with the design requirements. β Preparing engineering scope of work, scheduling and estimations, project progress reports. β Provides technical and engineering support for day-to-day processing, product development and process improvements. β Works with Cross functional teams/departments, senior and fellow engineers to develop alternatives and options for further development of projects and products β Interaction with electrical team to finalize components required Interactions with project's stakeholders (Production, quality and maintenance team) Should have good knowledge on manufacturing process Should have good knowledge on standard part selections (gearbox, bearings, electrical actuators, LM bush, LM guides, ball screw, couplings) Strong knowledge on engineering basics with ability to work on Industrial automation machines Knowledge in handling robotic automation will be added advantage Who are we looking for? As a successful candidate, you must have: BE/ B Tech (Mechanical) Should have minimum 5+ years of experience in Mechanical design of SPM machines for vending and any application as per specification. Must have strong knowledge on material selection, Design Standards, Drafting Standards and Concept Generation. Good working experience on Solid works software Should have good working experience in DFM&DFA Part and Plastics component design Should be Self-Drive for result & complete the project within Project schedule Good knowledge in GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up Analysis mechanical mechanisms, work planning and prototype building. Strong understanding in concepts to be developed, considering DFM, DFA, DFR, etc. Good knowledge in creating 2D drawings for Part model, Plastics and sheet metal components. Knowledge of mechanical design Experience in manufacturing processes Know-how of blueprint documents Experience with Solid works Proficient in software applications such as AutoCAD Familiarity with 3D Modelling Software Good sketching and concept generation skills Sheet Metal and Plastic experience Ability to understand complex mathematical relationships in relation to the mechanics of a product Good knowledge of production materials and their behaviour Experience with specialized material fabrication processes Ability to use lean tools to help develop new processes, layouts, and flow Show more Show less
