Role Description:

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in thermal analysis and CAD modelling for Li-ion battery packs used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, simulation, and optimization of battery enclosures, cooling systems, and structural components.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop battery module and pack enclosures using SolidWorks.

Perform thermal management studies (natural/forced convection and heat sink design).

Optimize material selection using Ashby charts and implement POKA-YOKE design principles.

Collaborate with electrical and thermal engineers to ensure pack reliability, manufacturability, and safety.

Prepare detailed drawings, BOMs, and documentation for production release.

Support prototype assembly, validation testing, and failure analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical / Thermal / Automotive Engineering.

2 - 4 years of experience in Li-ion battery pack design or thermal systems.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CFD tools.

Knowledge of heat sink design, CFD, and cooling system optimization.

Understanding of DFMEA, GD&T, and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, die?casting, extrusion).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):

Experience with battery safety standards (UN38.3, IP ratings, IEC 62133).

Familiarity with EV architecture or energy storage systems.

Salary Range:

?4.0 LPA to ?7.5 LPA
