Materials Planner

As a Demand Forecasting specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing customer demand trends and other relevant data to predict future material needs. You will play a critical role in ensuring that inventory levels are managed effectively to avoid shortages or overstocking. Your tasks will include optimizing inventory turnover and ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials - Negotiate pricing and manage supplier relationships - Align material availability with production schedules for efficient production - Place purchase orders, track shipments, and oversee proper receiving and storage of materials - Work across departments to maintain accurate material inventory and meet customer demands - Determine material specifications and ensure they meet quality standards - Monitor the production, use, and disposal of waste materials - Utilize data analysis tools and software to track inventory levels, analyze demand, and optimize supply chain processes Qualifications Required: - Solid understanding of demand forecasting and inventory management principles - Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective supplier coordination - Ability to work collaboratively across different departments - Proficiency in data analysis tools and software - Experience in production scheduling and order management is a plus In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will have the opportunity to work in a full-time, permanent position.
