JOB DESCRIPTION Roles and Responsibilities Estimating demand to ensure that inventory levels are maintained within specified guidelines. Basic knowledge of material planning & handling local suppliers for material procurement. Managing relationships with suppliers to ensure that they deliver high quality products at competitive prices. Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in supply chain performance. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to environmental protection, labor practices, product safety, and other factors Analyzing supplier capacity and identify bottleneck operations to meet schedule as per customer requirement. Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks in the supply chain budget. Ensuring parts availability with minimum freight cost and try to avoid premium freight. Developing packaging for new products based on anticipated customer volumes to meet the quality requirements. Responsible for localization implementation and phase in & phase out plan. Supplier and Customer delivery performance monitoring. Inventory Management and freight cost improvement. Qualifications and Education Requirements: BE Mechanical/Production or equivalent technical degree. At least 10-12 years of experience in SCM Experience in the automotive industry is an asset. Skills Required: Scheduling to Supplier as per Forecast & requirements from Sales & PPC Team. Sending contract & purchase order to domestic Suppliers & updating the same in SAP System. Getting order confirmation from supplier & maintain in SAP. Responsible for delivery of material on time in Plant Checking open PO, upcoming shortages & follow-up with Supplier for Shipments. Arranging material pick up as per delivery date. Actively Participating in New Product development. Coordination with ECM Team to avoid absolute stocks. Master Data management in SAP (Material Master & Vendor Master). Need to understand IATF requirements and be responsible for internal audits. Knowledge of Lean management and implementation for betterment of organization. Responsible for payments of Suppliers & Forwarders. Submitting provision & M.I.S. reports to Management. Escalation of urgent / risky / unsolvable issues to the top management proactively. Monitoring return to vendor and damages replacement for discrepancy supply.
