Job Title: Material Planner (Shift Management)
Job Description: The Material Planner (Shift Management) is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials needed for production and operations while managing inventory levels effectively. This role involves close collaboration with production teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to optimize material flow and support manufacturing schedules. The Material Planner will also oversee shift operations, monitor production requirements, and adjust plans as necessary to meet demand. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain material plans based on production schedules and inventory levels. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and resolve supply chain issues. - Monitor inventory levels and perform inventory reconciliation to minimize excess and shortages. - EO Change implementation based on stock availability in production line. - Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in material planning and inventory management. - Oversee shift operations related to material handling and ensure compliance with safety standards. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. - Proven experience in material planning or supply chain operations. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve material-related issues. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and suppliers. - Proficient in inventory management software and tools. - Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing environments. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Tools and Technologies: - Inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA). - Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Demand planning and forecasting tools. - ERP systems to manage supply chain operations. - Collaboration platforms for communication and project management. This position requires a proactive and strategic thinker who can adapt to changing production needs and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.
