Marketing Assistant
Our client is a leading UK-based intelligence, insights, and events company focused on innovation in insurance, particularly in the London specialty market. Our community includes thousands of professionals across insurers, brokers, MGAs, risk modellers, and technology providers. We publish in-depth articles, host live and virtual events, run a weekly podcast, and produce newsletters and original research to help our audience stay ahead of industry trends.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a wide-ranging role as a Marketing Assistant within our marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing.
The role is central to delivering our day-to-day marketing activity. You will support the planning, coordination, and execution of campaigns across digital channels, events, podcasts, and content. Strong administration, an eye for detail, and the ability to prioritise well and meet deadlines are essential.
You will gain exposure to the breadth of B2B marketing in a growing company, from content and social media through to events and podcast production. We work in a fast-paced environment with a startup culture—everyone contributes beyond their core responsibilities, and you will be encouraged to take initiative, solve problems, and help shape how we do things.
About you
● You have experience coordinating marketing activities, ideally in a B2B environment.
● You are comfortable with marketing administration—managing calendars, scheduling content, preparing newsletters, and supporting events.
● You are data-driven, comfortable working with metrics, and motivated to improve results.
● You have strong written communication skills with a good eye for grammar and detail.
● You are curious about technology and innovation, and keen to learn.
● You thrive in a collaborative environment but can also take ownership of tasks.
Key responsibilities
Coordinating marketing tasks across the business including understanding and tracking the requirements and needs from the different departments across.
Supporting weekly newsletter production including sourcing news, compiling our newsletter, and uploading to HubSpot
Supporting our social media administration, primarily through LinkedIn, including writing, coordinating and scheduling daily posts
Owning social media engagement including tracking and replying to comments, reporting on key metrics, and improving our campaigns performance
Updating our website with materials and content to support the release of new content and manage the homepage and knowledge centres
Support with podcast production by researching and suggesting new podcast guests, along with repurpose episodes into written content
Support event marketing through the creation of marketing materials using Canva and templates to the distribution of packs to sponsors, speakers, and partners
Support ongoing projects, assist with planning and coordination of wider marketing team weekly workload, and pick up ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Skills and capabilities
● Technical proficiency with Wordpress, HubSpot, and social media platforms
● Demonstrable experience of managing marketing processes
● Experience of putting together marketing communications including newsletter and campaign emails
● Comfortable setting and following processes to ensure quality and consistency of work
● A strong writing style with attention to detail and a good eye for grammar and detail
● Strong understanding of marketing analytics and digital channels
● Good communicator and the ability to present information accurately
● Ability to anticipate and handle potential objections
● Passion for technology and innovation
Success Measures
In your first 6–12 months, success in the role will be measured by:
● Delivering accurate, timely marketing outputs across channels (newsletter, social media, events).
● Improving engagement with digital channels, measured through audience reach, click-through rates, and interaction.
Demonstrating reliability in managing marketing processes and deadlines.
● Supporting smooth delivery of events, podcasts, and campaigns.
● Proactively suggesting and implementing process improvements that make the marketing team more efficient.
