This includes driving farmer engagement, agronomy trials, training initiatives and collaboration with government departments to ensure strategic business growth. You will play a key role in shaping the region’s agricultural landscape while ensuring operational excellence and sustainability. Key Responsibilities: Drive area expansion under Oil Palm through farmer identification, land suitability assessments and contract farming in coordination with government departmentsProvide leadership in research, training, and people development within the allotted regionDeliver agronomic and advisory services to ensure productive and sustainable Oil Palm plantationsConduct agronomic feasibility studies, policy reviews, and trials to enhance agricultural practicesGuide farmers on irrigation, harvesting schedules and collection of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFBs)Liaise with the Department of Horticulture to ensure timely subsidy disbursements (plant material and fertiliser)Develop and implement SOPs to maintain plantation standards and complianceMaintain close relationships with Agriculture Universities, IOPR, and subject matter experts for continuous technical supportTrain field staff and farmers to improve productivity and build local capabilitiesEnsure timely reporting, documentation, and data-driven decision-making Who are we looking for? Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Science or a related field. Experience: 10–15 years of relevant experience in oil palm agronomy, agricultural advisory services, or plantation/nursery managementProven track record in managing large-scale agricultural projects and driving field-level execution Skills:Deep knowledge of oil palm cultivation and agronomy best practicesStrong negotiation and stakeholder management skillsProficient in data analysis; well-versed in Microsoft ExcelEffective communicator with strong interpersonal and team leadership skillsComfortable with extensive travel across regions What’s in it for you?
