As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Optimum Info, your role involves ensuring the quality of software products by defining test plans, strategies, scenarios, and test cases. Your responsibilities include executing tests, certifying software products, and actively participating in product development from conceptualization to deployment. You will also create and maintain automated tests, develop procedures for program functionality, and ensure adherence to established guidelines. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of assigned software products and features - Prepare and update test plans and strategies for each product line - Create test scenarios and scripts for feature and product testing - Establish and maintain regression scripts - Conduct software testing with the objective of zero defects in production - Utilize utility programs to test, track, and verify defects in software - Coordinate testing activities for releases to ensure comprehensive testing across all functional areas - Implement automated regression testing scripts - Monitor program release cycles, validate deployments, and prevent errors in the production environment - Troubleshoot new builds and post-production issues - Define, track, and report quality assurance metrics such as defects, test results, and status - Collaborate with other teams for continuous quality improvement initiatives Desired Qualifications And Experience: - Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2-3 years of experience in software testing, particularly in an Agile/SCRUM environment - Proficiency in developing automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium, UFT, Coded UI, etc. - Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Git, TFS/Azure DevOps - Experience or interest in transitioning to an SDET role - Holders of other graduate degrees with equivalent experience will also be considered Certifications: - ISTQB or certified software tester certifications are desirable Optimum Info is a company focused on innovation, developing software solutions for Automotive, Power Sports, and Equipment industries.
