Job Description

Role & responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Manhattan Associates WMS Consultant to take on the role of Solution Architect for a leading retail transformation initiative. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and optimizing Manhattan WMS based on fit-gap analysis, ensuring seamless integration within the retail supply chain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end transformation from solution design to successful implementation aligning it with customer success parameters. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design & Fit-Gap Analysis: Conduct detailed fit-gap analysis to assess business requirements against Manhattan WMS capabilities. Design and configure Manhattan WMS for optimal performance in a retail distribution environment. Ensure best practices are followed for inventory management, warehouse operations, and order fulfillment. Implementation & Strategy Development: Develop test strategies, ensuring robust validation across all functional and integration layers. Define data migration strategies, including inventory migration and associated processes. Craft and execute cutover strategies, aligning with business and operational readiness. Provide clear insights on live upgrades vs. phased vs. Big Bang implementations using Clear Blue methodology. Transformation Ownership & Customer Success Mapping: Drive end-to-end WMS transformation, ensuring alignment with customer goals and KPIs. Lead cross-functional teams in designing scalable and future-ready solutions. Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure smooth adoption and operational efficiency. Manhattan Product Expertise: Strong expertise in Manhattan SCI (Supply Chain Intelligence) reports to drive data-driven insights. Experience with Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF) to facilitate seamless system connectivity. WLM (Warehouse Labor Management) experience is a plus. Preferred candidate profile Manhattan Associates WMS Certification PMP / Agile / TOGAF (preferred but not mandatory) 12+ years of experience working with Manhattan Associates WMS in a solution architect or lead consultant role. Strong background in the retail domain, with deep understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain logistics. Hands-on experience in data migration, inventory transition strategies, and cutover planning. Proven ability to design and implement SCI reports and analytics for performance tracking. Expertise in Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF) for seamless connectivity between systems. Knowledge of warehouse labor management (WLM) is an added advantage.
