The Role

Managing Director

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global team, providing top-tier service to existing and prospective clients while expanding the business on a product and global level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing existing relationships, and contributing to the company's mission of becoming a Top Clearer worldwide in commodity markets.

Role Objective:

The Managing Director, acting on the directives and guidance from the President, Asia shall oversee the management of the Country. It includes sales and business development, managing key accounts, supply chain management, installations and after-sales service, finance, legal & compliance, HR and information technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the company’s country operations and shall be accountable for profit, revenue, cash and quality targets.
• Develop new business and growth strategies and opportunities in the Indian market and maximize long term profitable volume growth.
• Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of the current brand conditions and future developments in the business market and continuously enhance the position of the company.
• Managing key client relationships.
• To build a motived team in achieving the company’s objectives and goals and deliver excellent service to customers.
• Recommend and implement detailed annual business operating plans and preparation of business performance reports for strategic analysis and review on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Responsible to build the capabilities of direct reports which includes performance coaching, training and mentoring.

Required Qualifications:

• Possess a relevant Degree or any other equivalent qualification.
• Experience in the Poultry industry or with the supply of capital equipment and with relevant experience as a General Manager with P&L responsibilities running a subsidiary of an international company in India with at least 50 employees.
• Excellent business acumen with a proven business track record.
• Strong general management experience with excellent networking and interpersonal skills and with a strong sales affiliation.
• Excellent leadership and coaching skills with evidence of building, retaining and motivating a high-performance team.
• Proactive and able to work independently.
• Able to adapt to a matrix reporting environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Understanding of Finance, Legal, Logistics, Warehousing and installations and Aftersales Service.
