Manager/Assistant Manager, Design

Role & responsibilities

• Site visit to elicit all data required for AD to work out a design solution. Present operating conditions, loads, installed base, condition of equipment / electrical panels / pipings, etc., current efficiency levels through energy audit of the high-side, and any site-specific constraints. Participate with AD team to conclude an effective and site-appropriate design.
• Sketch chiller plant skematics, highlighting key parameters to construct a Bill of Quantities for CaaS prospects and projects.
• Hold appropriate dialogs with equipment manufacturers/vendors/contractors. Understand a project execution sequence to ensure that the timelines, costs, feasibility are all established.
• Prepare estimates for operating costs - CAMC, PMC, site labour costs, repairs/overhauling/maintenance costs and their estimated timing to construct an operating cost budget.
• Support project manager in vendor selection, coordination with vendors as needed, and ensuring that the cost numbers envisaged in the BoQ (or better) are achieved.
