About the Team


The Supply Chain team is responsible to enable product availability across channels in optimized cost as well as time. This team delivers on strategic priorities and provides support through transformation to help Lowe’s build best in class Supply Chain capabilities.


Job Summary:



The primary purpose of this role is to help Lowe’s become more efficient at managing our Transportation Operations and serving our internal customers by facilitating a center of excellence for system maintenance, freight pay exception management & reporting. This position is responsible for leading a team of Analysts that own these processes & will be instrumental in finding opportunities to streamline, automate and identify ways to improve overall Transportation operations.



Roles & Responsibilities:


Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of analysts to drive processes associated with system maintenance, freight pay exception management & reporting. Oversee operational activities to ensure adherence to quality & timeliness.
  • Oversee process transitions & identify opportunities for improvement, as applicabe
  • Helps establish and accomplish Transportation service improvements, as well as cost savings.
  • Identifies trends in transportation performance & proactively shares insights to improve.
  • Identifies & stays informed of best practices across the industry.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for all central initiatives and partners across teams.
  • Builds content to support decision making, including supporting modeling results, alternatives considered, timelines and financial impacts/requirements.
  • Sponsor & guide projects and ideation efforts for continuous process improvements.
  • Partners with Technology and Product Teams to drive improvements in Tools and Systems.
  • Identify trends & adapt to new ways of working on daily execution activities such as workload allocation, prioritization, SLA & Quality Adherence, etc.
  • Participates in people management responsibilities such as evaluation, talent planning, associate development, etc.


Years of Experience:


Overall 8+ years of Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in Supply chain Management
  • 3+ year's experience Transportation
  • 4+ year's experience of project management
  • 3+ years of prior leadership experience


Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications


Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Related Field


Skill Set Required


Primary Skills (must have)

  • Excellent understanding of Supply Chain concepts
  • Good Understanding of Inventory Management, Planning, Forecasting & Transportation processes & concepts
  • Project Management Experience - Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Excellent Communication - writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentations to Senior Leaders
  • Strong Stakeholder Management
  • Strong foundation & understanding of Math/Finance
  • Advance knowledge in MS Office, Lowe’s Data Platforms, Ability to extract/cleanse Data
  • Excellent Data interpretation & Problem Solving
  • Prior experience of leading teams

Secondary Skills (desired)

  • Understanding in Data mining and visualization tool such as Power BI & SQL
