Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and industry trends. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess pricing trends. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and payment terms. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and ethical standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, and identify and onboard new suppliers. Regularly evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Inventory Management: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, planning) to forecast material requirements. Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, minimizing holding costs and avoiding shortages or excesses. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet production schedules. Purchase Order Management: Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Track purchase order performance and follow up on outstanding orders. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders or deliveries. Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the procurement process. Track and analyze procurement costs to identify areas for improvement.
