Position Purpose

The Manager, SANITY Business Operations – FO Data & Workflow Enablement plays a strategic role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timely execution of Financial Obligation (FO) data and related workflows in SANITY. This role acts as a key business partner across BD, Finance, Legal, and Regional teams, driving operational excellence, compliance, and cross-functional coordination for FO validation, invoice/accrual processing, and CAR closure.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include but not are limited to:

  • Financial Obligations Management
Maintain and validate FO entries in SANITY, ensuring timely updates upon milestone completion. Assist in the creation of new FOs, where required and help drive meaningful FOs consolidation for ease of validation post deal signature. Oversee ownership and transfer of FO and associated project records across project stages in SANITY, ensuring the latest ownership details are consistently and accurately reflected.
  • Invoice & Accruals Processing
Act as the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding invoice payments and escalations. Review incoming invoices, identify correct owners, and update FO records prior to approval. Create purchase orders or approve invoices as needed in SAP for BD deals after cross-verification with SANITY and project leads. Book accruals for completed milestones without received invoices and release old accruals upon invoice receipt.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance Oversight
Ensure FO data meets audit and compliance standards by maintaining complete documentation for audit trails, addressing observations, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with relevant functions. Challenge data or input provided when necessary to maintain data integrity and compliance Monitor data quality metrics and support remediation efforts to uphold data integrity and ensure consistent accuracy across systems.
  • Business Enablement & Workflow Optimization
Provide guidance and operational support to SANITY users across BD&L, Regions, Finance, Legal, and other functions. Assist in the development, refinement, and training of FO-related processes and SOPs to drive continuous improvement. Support operational teams until full system access is enabled, ensuring continuity and accuracy of FO data and importantly, seamless validation of FOs and processing of invoices & accruals.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
Administer SANITY dashboards and reports to identify and notify CARs eligible for closure to initiate the CAR closing process at frequencies defined in the CAR closing procedure. Report on open, overdue, and closed CARs and FOs across various dimensions (e.g., region, product, function) for relevant stakeholders upon request. Liaise between BD and Finance to retrieve actual costs for CARs ready for closure. Review CAR closure documentation for completeness and update the status of closed CARs on SANITY. Represent Business Operations in FO-related process reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to define clear guidance and deliver aligned results. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders (Finance, Legal, BD, Regions, etc.) to establish best-in-class ways of working.records.

What You Bring To The Role

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Data Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data quality, financial operations, or compliance roles (preferably in pharma or life sciences).
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., SANITY, SAP) and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and global teams.

Skills And Expertise

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work with a wide cross-functional team in development, commercial, IT, and other functions to drive projects towards results
  • Knowledge of pharma industry compliance and audit standards.
  • Experience with hosted roles and budget planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
