Manager – Production (TideVolt Project)

Candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology from a recognized university. Post-graduate qualification (optional) in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in precision fabrication, machining, and assembly operations, preferably in marine, renewable energy, or heavy-engineering sectors.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end production of mechanical assemblies involving milling, turning, shaft alignment, and gearbox installation.

Technical Skills Required

• Sound knowledge of CNC machining, vertical milling, and shaft alignment techniques (preferably using dial or CMM alignment methods).
• Experience in mechanical assembly of rotor-shaft and gear-drive systems.
• Familiarity with CAD models and mechanical drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Ability to coordinate with external machine shops, fabricators, and suppliers for precision components.
• Working understanding of quality control, tolerance measurement, and ISO procedures.
• Exposure to hydraulic and electrical integration in multi-disciplinary systems is desirable.

Managerial Skills

• Strong leadership and team-coordination ability to manage technicians, welders, and machinists.
• Production planning and scheduling to meet project milestones.
• Cost and material control for prototype and pilot-batch production.
• Vendor management and documentation of machining and assembly stages.
• Ability to maintain 5S practices and ensure workplace safety.

Other Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and reporting ability.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to partner machine shops and shipyards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
