Manager Packages (Rotary/Material Handling) Educational Qualification: BE / ME Mechanical Engineering Relevant Experience (Yrs) - 8 - 18 yrs Purpose / Mission of the Role For Rotary Person should be main focal point for design & execution of rotating equipments like HVAC, Compressors, Refrigeration packages etc For Material Handling Person should be main focal point for design & execution of packages like Grain unloading, Milling Grain storage, Grain handling, weigh bridge , Conveyors, Bucket elevators, feeders, Bag Filters Role Responsibilities Role of Package Manager shall be to have overall responsibility for such packages, which includes following activities Preparing basic design and schematics during Proposal Stage. Help proposal department for review Tender and interact with client / statutory bodies regarding tender specification compliance, Get budgetary quotes from vendors, evaluate and estimate budgetary cost, furnish preliminary inputs related to packages for downstream engineering. Post order stage, prepare RFQ including design documents based on inputs from upstream engineering Review offers and prepare technical bid analysis. After order placement, interaction with vendor to get documents finalized. Participate as required in technical reviews and quality audits / vendor performance reviews To carry out correspondence with client / consultants / internal disciplines as required related to above packages. Site support as required for Construction, commissioning or trouble shooting. Cater to information required by Internal Departments related to above packages, for downstream engineering. Should be capable to take care of multiple projects and upgradation of skill levels of staff. Technical Competencies For Rotary Knowledge of Compressors types, codes and applications. Knowledge of domestic and international codes and standards for Pumps, blowers, agitators like API, ISO etc, alongwith their types Awareness of process safety and hazardous area requirements/implications. Knowledge of analysing tools like FEA is and added advantage. For Material Handling Knowledge of Material Handling systems, like Conveyors, Bucket elevators, feeders, Bag Filters etc Knowledge of Fire Fighting system Knowledge of Boilers, Turbines and BOP of Power plant shall be added advantage Knowledge of domestic and international codes and standards for Material handling like CEMA for Conveyors, API, NBC / NFPA etc for Fire fighting, ASHRAE / SMACNA for HVAC Awareness of process safety and hazardous area requirements/implications.
