As an NPD Engineer - Conductor Testing at Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, your role involves leading the development of new overhead conductor products from concept to commercialization. With 8+ years of experience in overhead transmission and distribution systems, you will be responsible for designing various types of conductors such as AAC, AAAC, AL59, ECO, ECO Max, ACSS, STACIR, GAP, and Composite technology. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing and developing new conductor types for power transmission and distribution, ensuring compliance with global standards and using tools like PLS CADD. - Conducting benchmarking, feasibility studies, and material selection for new products. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and performance targets. - Overseeing prototype development, testing, and validation according to national and international standards. - Managing technical documentation and driving continuous improvement in product performance and cost-efficiency. - Liaising with certification bodies and ensuring regulatory compliance. - Identifying and qualifying vendors for raw materials and components. - Monitoring market trends and customer feedback to guide product development and innovation. - Mentoring junior engineers and managing project timelines and budgets effectively.
