Job Summary

SRLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager/Sr. Manager for Monitoring &

Evaluation (M&E) to set up and lead the M&E function. This role is critical in ensuring

the effectiveness and efficiency of SRLCs programs through the development of robust

monitoring and evaluation frameworks, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate

will have a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in M&E.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up the M&E Function:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E strategy and framework

for each program at SRLC including the KPIs and metrics.

  • Lead the design of a common impact assessment framework to

accommodate multiple programs.

  • Establish M&E systems, tools, and processes to track and assess the

impact of SRLCs programs.

  • Ensure alignment of M&E activities with SRLCs goals and objectives.
  • Program Monitoring:
  • Design and implement data collection methods and tools.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program activities and gather data.
  • Analyze program data to assess progress and identify areas for

improvement.

  • Evaluation:
  • Lead and coordinate program evaluations, including baseline, mid-term,

and end-line evaluations. Develop proposals to engage external

consultants for needs assessment or impact assessment studies as

needed.

  • Develop evaluation reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing based on evaluation findings.
  • Data Management:
  • Establish and manage databases for program data.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Use data analytics to inform decision-making and program planning.
  • Create access to external data sets and impact information (both

government and non-government) and integrate them with SRLC’s data

and knowledge to provide learning for our work and insights to the broader

field.

  • Capacity Building:
  • Train and mentor SRLC staff and partners on M&E principles and

practices.

  • Build the capacity of program teams to effectively implement M&E

activities.

  • Reporting:
  • Prepare and present M&E reports to senior management and

stakeholders.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to enhance program

effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:
  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies,

Public Health, or a related field.

  • Experience:
  • 8-12 years of social sector experience, ideally combined with 4-6 years of

M&E

  • Proven experience in setting up M&E systems and frameworks from

scratch.

  • Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in M&E software and data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA,

Excel).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
