About The Function
MakeMyTrip is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data expert for Marketing Insights & Analytics team. This role will be instrumental in driving business growth through data-driven insights, strategic decision-making, and effective cross-functional liaising. The person will be responsible for analysing customer data, providing actionable insights, shaping the company's strategy, and automating reporting architectures to have best-in-industry data reporting.

The Marketing Insights & Analytics function at MakeMyTrip plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making. We collaborate with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams to define key performance metrics, establish analytics frameworks, and drive optimization in marketing strategies.
What Will You Be Doing
- Customer Insights: Utilize data analysis to gain deep insights into customer behaviour, preferences, and trends, helping the company understand its target audience better.
- Business Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of MakeMyTrip's business goals, strategies, and market dynamics to align data-driven insights with organizational objectives.
- Data Analysis: Utilize tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python to collect, clean, and analyse large datasets, identifying patterns and opportunities for growth.
- Reporting and Data Visualization: Create clear and concise reports and automated dashboards to communicate insights effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Platform Automation: Work cross-functionally to on-board new analytics platforms, adopt evolving & best-in-industry technologies to run consumer analytics, and help achieve critical business objectives.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, setting clear goals, and providing coaching and feedback.
- Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine business strategies, leveraging data insights to drive decision-making.
Qualification & Experience
- MBA from a reputed institute.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (B. Tech. or equivalent).
- 8-10 years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or consumer insights roles.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis.
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, MixPanel, Google Analytics).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivering business impact through data-driven insights.
