Job Description Role and Responsibilities: As Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support across various functions within the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include: Offering legal advice and support to departments such as human resources, finance, IT, and corporate services, with a focus on contractual matters. Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating vendor contracts across different lines of business. Providing legal assistance to the HR team on matters related to employee discipline, grievances, POSH complaints, and disputes or litigations involving employees. Monitoring and assessing the impact of evolving legal and regulatory changes relevant to the business, ensuring timely communication of these changes. Coordinating with external counsel as necessary to support legal matters and ensuring proper legal documentation. Key Attributes: To succeed in this role, you should have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear legal solutions. Solid experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements. A proactive approach to identifying potential legal issues and communicating them effectively across the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex legal concepts clearly. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience and Requirements: 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience in a legal counsel role. Prior experience working in-house with a multinational company, preferably in the services sector. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory matters in India. Experience working with international clients, particularly U.S.-based businesses, is an advantage. Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a reputable law school or university.
