Job Description

Role & responsibilities Design and Development of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging. Evaluation of packing material for new products. Identifying and initiating cost saving and pack improvement. Carry out audits at packing material suppliers. Vendor development as per product & consumer requirements. Costing & Negotiation of packaging material. Coordinating with Vendors, Production, and Purchase & Marketing. Handling queries from internal customers like International Marketing, CQA, Unit QC, RA etc. Sizing of packing material, lay outing of artwork. Coordinating with change part supplier for change parts. Creation of specifications for packaging materials. Developing Artworks, Key line drawing & Rapid prototype for all the packaging materials. Benchmarking the competition packs with respect to packaging material & process. Initiating & developing mould for rigid packaging. Machine trials on shop floor. Handling Contract manufacturing locations and in-house plants with respect to technology transfer & trouble shooting. Validation of new packaging materials by performance testing and machine trials. Smooth handover of new technology to production and quality assurance. Coordinating with consumer research and marketing team for packaging requirements. Validating Packaging machinery for different products. Coordinate with Design Agencies for developing graphics. Working on promotional pack as per marketing requirements. Packaging SOP preparation.
