About the Role

The Supplier Relations Manager will act as a subject matter expert both internally and externally, provide strategic direction relating to supply chain design and best practices, support new client implementations and existing client MSP programs, as well as lead a small team of Specialists ensuring Magnits clients have access to talent.

You will manage, mature and expand Magnits relationships across our global supplier network, focused on the India & APAC regions.

As our clients operate globally, the role will involve working with suppliers, colleagues and clients all over the world, so a consideration of different time zones and working practices/cultures is essential.

A typical day may involve multiple supplier calls, researching new suppliers in key markets and countries, providing support on benchmarking requests, working closely with client services teams, supporting new client implementations and working on department projects. An ability to multitask and prioritize whilst providing excellent client service is vital.

What You Will Do

  • Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Ensure supplier coverage in assigned region(s) and/or country(ies)
  • Build & maintain supplier relationship, and develop a deep understanding of Magnits supplier network
  • Supplier Sourcing:
  • Create market maps as required to aid global expansion of Magnit’s supplier network
  • Market Research - develop expert knowledge of key markets for Magnit and act as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Implementations:
  • Lead Supplier Onboarding Workstream in new client implementations and expansions, setting the supplier strategy and presenting supply chain design
  • Own supplier enrollment, ensuring project deadlines are hit. Negotiation support and escalation point for all matters relating to supplier onboarding
  • Supplier Onboarding & Offboarding:
  • Act as escalation point in support of Magnit’s Centre of Excellence to ensure timely execution of Supplier Agreements, and terminations
  • Client & Client Services Support:
  • Act as subject matter expert to internal and external audience relating to Supplier Relations
  • Lead and mentor Client Service Teams on supplier adoption strategies, supplier capabilities and recommendations
  • Sales Support:
  • Provide detail for RFx responses on bids
  • Present Supply Chain Management methodology, strategy and approach to client & prospects
  • Develop supplier relationships to generate new business opportunities for Magnit
  • Promote and sell supplier facing products – for example, Pay Intel & Supplier Financing
  • Events:
  • Design and deliver Magnit Supplier Events on a regional/country level
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities
  • Team Management:
  • Line manager a small team of Specialists that are geographically dispersed
  • Mentor and develop direct reports
  • Other Duties:
  • Support Departmental Projects and Initiatives – such as operational excellence, IT enhancements, contributing to content production and our supplier awards process
  • Maintain & Update the Global Supplier Relations Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and any other tools & technologies used, such as the VMS
  • Ad hoc Projects, as requested by department management
  • Travel:
  • Some infrequent travel may be required, (less than 10%)

What You Will Need

  • Experience of working in a similar Supply Chain role and/or deep knowledge of MSP, RPO, SoW, Staffing & Outsourcing
  • Experienced line manager, ideally of a regional/globally dispersed team
  • Fluent in English to a professional level, an additional Indian Language is advantageous
  • Comfortable & confident presenting to internal & external audiences
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment within a global business
  • Excellent customer service, administrative and organizational skills
  • Proven negotiator and commercially savvy
  • Strong IT skills – Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint (ability to review, manipulate and present data)
  • Knowledge of Recruitment and Employment Legislation (eg. ABPU-10)
  • Experience with supplier contracts and associated legal terminology
  • Experience with recruitment technology – VMS and/or ATS
  • Experience of using Salesforce, is an advantage
  • Experience of Supplier Management Tools, is an advantage
  • Public speaking experience, is an advantage
